Tyre is a town in Seneca County, New York, USA. It was named after the Lebanese city of Tyre.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town stretches over 85.8 km ², of which 78.1 km ² of land and 7.7 km ² ( 8.97 %) are water. The northern city limits is the limit for Wayne County, and the eastern boundary, which is partially marked by the river Seneca, is the limit to Cayuga County.
