Tyrone is a facility located in Blair County American community, about 25 kilometers northeast of Altoona ( Pennsylvania) at the Little Juniata River. At present there are about 5500 inhabitants in Tyrone and mayor of the municipality is James Kilmartin.

History

Tyrone was founded in 1850 and was first called Eagleville, later Shorbsville and ultimately Tyrone City. First building of the settlement emerged at the mouth of Bald Eagle Creek in the Little Juniata River.
