Ua (singer)

UA ( real name: Kaori Shima,嶋 歌 织, born March 11, 1972 in Suita ) is a Japanese singer and actress. Her stage name is a word from the Swahili, the " flower" or " kill " means. Because of her marriage to actor June Murakami, with whom she was married from 1996 to August 2006, they are also called Kaori Murakami. On 7 July 2007, they performed at the Live Earth concert in Kyoto.

As an actress, she played the role of Ryo in the drama水 の 女( Mizu no onna, Woman of Water) in 2002 and played in the comedy Manager Kobori Dai- Nipponjin of 2007.
