UAE Arabian Gulf League

The Premier Division is the top division in football in the United Arab Emirates. It was founded in 1973 and is now one of the most popular and best leagues in Asia. Until 2009 it was called Etisalat UAE League or National League. Reigning champions Al - Jazira Club from Abu Dhabi. The record holder is equipped with nine championships Al Ain Club.

As the host country of the FIFA Club World Cups in 2009 and 2010 Al -Ahli took part as the master of the League qualifying match of the Club World Cup in 2009 and reached the quarter- finals. In 2010, Al- Wahda qualified by winning the title for the Club World Cup.

Format

Will be wearing the league in round-trip round with twelve teams, each team competes against each other twice. The top three finishers at the end of a season, plus the cup winners qualify for the AFC Champions League. The two last-place teams will be relegated to the First Division.
