History

On 1 July 2003 BPU ( Banche Popolari Unite ) was formed by the merger of the financial companies Banca Popolare di Bergamo -CV, Banca Popolare Commercio e Industria and Banca Popolare di Luino e Varese.

In 2006, BPU ( Banche Popolari Unite ), the company Prestitalia. On 1 April 2007, the merger with Banca Lombarda was made, from which UBI Banca emerged.
