UCAS

The Personal Statement ( German: " Personal Opinion") is a personally written self-assessment of a candidate at a British or American university. It is the UK part of the UCAS application and is designed to give candidates an opportunity to present themselves in writing and to explain why they wish to study a particular subject. Has the Personal Statement in conjunction with the notes, a reference of the subject teacher and possibly to existing tests so far achieved a significant influence on the selection of universities.
