Uchquduq ( Uzbek for " three wells "; Cyrillic Учқудуқ; Russian Учкудук Utschkuduk; Uchkuduk also ) is a city in the province of Uzbekistan Alisher Navoi, located in the center of the Kyzyl Kum desert, 270 km north- west of Navoi to about 200 m above sea level. According to the population census in 1989 Uchquduq then had 24,000 inhabitants, a calculation for 2009 are that there is the population of 35 361. Uchquduq is an independent city and also the capital of the eponymous district Uchquduq.

Uchquduq is located on the railway line Nukus Beruniy - Tortkol - Uchquduq - Navoi, the starting point of the European Route 003 toward Dasoguz is (Turkmenistan ) and lies on the European Route 004 from Kyzylorda (Kazakhstan ) to Bukhara.

Uchquduq is a founded (1958 ) industrial city during the Soviet Union. In the same year began the uranium mining in Uchquduq. Since 1978 Uchquduq is a city. Until 1979 Uchquduq was a closed city.

The most devastating plane crash in the history of the Soviet Union took place not far from Uchquduq on 10 July 1985, when a Tupolev Tu -154 Aeroflot Flight 7425 from the Karshi to Orenburg with 200 people on board crashed.
