UCI B World Championships

The UCI B World Championships were rail and road world championships of the International Cycling Union Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI ) for athletes from countries where cycling is still in development. Track and Road World Championships took place at the same time in the same place between 1997 and 2003.

The B World Championships were held every two years since 1997; the first edition was in Malay Ipoh. Through these world championships cyclists from cycling " developing countries " should be given the opportunity to compete with other athletes of the same sportlerischen levels. In addition, individual athletes for the Olympic games could qualify for these world championships. Since the last host in 2003 these tasks were assigned to the continental championships, also in order to appreciate it in its meaning.
