Uckerfelde

Uckerfelde is a municipality in the district Uckermark in the north- east of Brandenburg ( Germany ). It belongs to the Office Gramzow.

Geography

The Uckermark community Uckerfelde lies southeast of the county town Prenzlau in a ground moraine, which spreads between the parallel valleys of the Ucker and Randow. The lake-rich environment is characterized by intensive agriculture and many wind turbines. The highest elevations within the municipal boundaries form the high mountain and the mountain stronghold with 104 and 103 m above sea level. NN.

History

The municipality was created on 31 December 2001 from the merger of the previously independent municipalities Bertikow, Bietikow, Falkenwalde and Hohengüstow. The site Falkenwalde situated in the municipality. Bertikows village history can be traced back, according to a deed to 1243, about 30 years earlier records for the first mention of the village Bietikow under the name Bitcowe.

The place Bietikow, part of the municipality Uckerfelde was first mentioned in 1214 under " Bitcowe ". Previously, there was a Slavic settlement on the private lake. Archaeological finds indicate a history of settlement in the periods since the Neolithic period. During the German colonization Bietikow was created as Angersdorf. Had possession of the place in the Middle Ages around 1375 the v. Blankenburg, v. Eickstedt and the convent of Seehausen, whose share after the monastery resolution 1543 came to office Gramzow. For open spaces built around 1424 the estate of the von Arnim, who reached to 1650 in possession of the whole village. The estate was expropriated in 1945 and awarded the country in the wake of land reform to new farmers and resettled. The lands are cultivated again by the family von Arnim.

For mayor in 1573, a blacksmith and a shepherd are handed down in the village, in 1775 there was a sheep farm, 17 farmers and 42 fireplaces. In 1900, four farmers, five landowners, a blacksmith, a teacher and a road overseers were counted. After 1945, found in Bietikow 37 landless and land-poor peasants and settlers a new home.

Today the district Falkenwalde - originally designed as Angersdorf - was first mentioned in 1375.

The village Hohengüstow was called until 1900 Gustrow, it first appeared in 1365 in a document on. In the 1930s, the eastern part Hohengüstows was settled here about 15 families from southern Germany created new existences.

Economy and infrastructure

Agriculture continues to be influential in the entire municipality. At the motorway junction, near the hamlet of Hohengüstow works a highway maintenance.

In the district Bertikow is the power plant Uckermark, a composite of wind turbines and a biomass power plant.

Transport links

The motorway junction Kreuz Uckermark (A 11, A 20, B 166) is located partly in the municipality Uckerfeldes. The B 198 ( Prenzlau - Angermuende ) performs the districts Bietikow and Hohengüstow ( motorway junction Gramzow ). The nearest rail connection is in Prenzlau about 10 km away, after the branch railway line Damme Falkenwalde - Gramzow was decommissioned on 30 June 1997.
