Udeme Ekpeyong

Udeme Ekpeyong ( born March 28, 1973) is a retired Nigerian sprinter who specialized in the 400 -meter run.

Internationally, he appeared primarily as a relay runner in appearance. So he finished with the Nigerian 4 x 400 -meter relay at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona fifth. At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995, he celebrated the greatest success of his career by winning the bronze medal in the relay. As a starter for his team, he placed together with Kunle Adejuyigbe, Jew Monye, Sunday Bada in a time of 3:03,18 min behind the squadrons of the United States and Jamaica. However, he missed at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 with the season the final.

Ekpeyongs greatest success as a single starter was winning the silver medal in the 400 -meter run at the Universiade 1995 in Fukuoka. At the World Athletics Championships in 1999 in Seville he reached the quarter-final round over this distance.

Udeme Ekpeyong is 1,79 m tall and had a competition weight of 68 kg.
