UE Sant Julià

Unio Esportiva Sant Julia is an Andorran football club based in Sant Julia de Loria and currently plays in the first division.

History

Unio Esportiva was founded in 1982. When in 1994 the Andorran Football Federation was constituted, the club became a member and took off in 1995 at the newly founded Primera Divisió part. Unio Esportiva is one of four teams that have played continuously in the first division.

1997 reached Unio Esportiva first time the cup final, but had no chance against CE principate and went down with 0:7. 2001 ended Unio Esportiva the season though as a table first, but the title was in the Championship play-offs playful and they finished the season as runner-up. Since you also in the cup final FC Santa Coloma defeated 0:2, they remained without a title. In 2002, the club repeated the mishap in the league and in turn was only runner-up. 2003-2005 was reached in each case the cup final, but the FC Santa Coloma was stronger each time. So you had to wait in Sant Julia at first title until 2004, before being in the Andorran Super Cup in the second round Santa Coloma 2-1 struck after just those had cleared with 2:3 after extra time also this item in the previous year.

2005 then achieved his great success as one with only one defeat this season, finished the season, asserted itself in the Championship play-offs with five wins and one defeat and for the first time national champion.
