Uganda Christian University

The Uganda Christian University ( UCU, Uganda Christian University ) is a university in Uganda, which is operated by the Anglican Church of the Province of Uganda. The university was formed in 1997 as an umbrella organization of the Anglican Colleges and officially recognized by the government of Uganda. Its headquarters is the Bishop Tucker College.

The main campus of Bishop Tucker College is located on an area of ​​27 acres in Kampala and Mukono between Jinja. The college was founded in 1913 has approximately 3000 students.

Also university is the Bishop Barham College in Kabale, Uganda on the Rugarama Hill. The college was founded in 1924 and currently offers 500 students study courses.

Chancellor of the University is the Archbishop of Uganda, Henry Luke Orombi. Rowan Douglas Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury is their patron.
