Uggiate-Trevano

Uggiate - Trevano is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4573 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Como in Lombardy. The municipality is situated approximately 10 km west-northwest of Como on the border with Switzerland. In the municipality the Lura springs, the eastern boundary of the municipality is the Faloppia.

History

748 and 852 villages Uggiate be (as Oglate ) and Trevano (as Trebano ) first mentioned. From the age of the community also bears witness to the Romanesque apse of the church of San Michele in Trevano.
