Uggie

Uggie ( born 2002 ) is a rauhaariger Jack Russell Terrier, who was honored at the International Film Festival in Cannes with the Palm Dog Award.

Life

He played after several unnamed appearances in film and television the dog " Queenie " in Water for Elephants, and had a supporting role as "Jack" in the award winning film The Artist. In the fictional film within the film he gets credits as " Uggy ". For his role Uggie was awarded the Golden Collar, a new film award, honored.

The guided on Facebook and Twitter "Consider Uggie " campaign tried the rules of the Academy, which provides for an Oscar ceremony only to human actors to soften.
