Course

The Uhlen stream is fed from a system of small and tiny streams, some of a specified source, partly originate from a source area. As the actual origin of the, initially Small Uhlen Bach said, applies a stream headwaters between Friedrich Brunner Gondelteich and Friedrich Brunn, where form two main arms. A few hundred yards from the gondola lake opens another creek on the right side in the little creek Uhlen. Shortly after this is dammed by the flown through Friedrich Brunner boating lake in the headwaters, which he southwest flowing leaves again. After striking a 461m high elevation of the creek bends almost at right angles from the southeast.

The creek flows in the course past the left side, 469.1 m high Uhlenstein. A little downstream flows springing from a plurality of arms Bach in the little creek Uhlen. In the lower reaches of these bends to the southwest. At the same time opens another creek and for a short distance of the Small Uhlen stream divides into several branches, which flow together again after a bit of half of the remaining river course.

Near the castle Erich mountain the Great Uhlen brook flows right side into a small storage pond at Forest House Uhlenstein, which impounds the Little Uhlen mountain stream. From here on is called the brook only Uhlen Bach. This is part of the rivers of the country program.

The stream continues to flow through the Uhlenbachtal. In the course of the Shepherds creek empties into the creek Uhlen. Behind the Silberhütte station crosses the creek Uhlen the Selketalbahn where a fish ladder and Sohlgleite was built. Shortly thereafter, the creek flows near Silberhütte to flow 52.0 kilometers on the left into the Selke.
