Uhy

Uhy ( German Uha ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers north-west of Kralupy nad Vltavou and belongs to Okres Kladno.

Geography

The place is located in 199 m above sea level. M. in the North Bohemian plateau left side of the Moldautals between the Vltava River and the Bakovský creek. East of the central municipality oil bases in the Czech Republic is Nelahozeves. By Uhy leads the state road 616 between Nelahozeves and Velvary. Northwest runs the state road 16 between the D8 motorway near Nová Ves and Velvary.

Neighboring towns are Chržín and Sazená in the north, Nové Ouholice in the northeast, Podhořany and Hleďsebe in the east, Nelahozeves in the southeast, Lesany in the south, Velka Bučina and Radovic in the southwest, Nové Uhy and Velvary in the west and Dolni Kamenice and Budihostice in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Uhy place in the year 1318. Owners of part of the village was in the 14th century, the Order of the Knights of St.. Maria. 1436 acquired Václav Baštský the goods and in 1495 the village belonged to the Lords of Schellenberg. Your followed from 1528 Sezema of Ústí, from 1536 Sigismund Slezský of Chlum and in the 17th century Bohuchval Valkoun of Adlar. In 1736, Count Philip Kinsky build a baroque castle, which then served the rule especially as the seat of estate administration for the Barbican and has been redesigned for this purpose in the 19th century manor. Until the mid-19th century the church was finally Zlonice owner of the goods.

After the abolition of patrimonial Uhy / Uha formed a municipality in the district Slany. Since the 1870s Uhy was connected to Chržín and in 1907 became independent again. 1921 came the congregation to Okres Kralupy nad Vltavou and since 1960 it belongs to the Okres Kladno.

For the community Uhy no districts are reported. The former district of Nové Uhy is now part of the city Velvary.

Attractions

  • Uhy castle, the former palace has been preserved only the mansard roof after conversion to the farm. The plant is located in the complete collapse and since it was not classified as a cultural monument, a future receipt is very questionable.
