Ujčov

Ujčov ( German Uitschow, also Ujtschow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south-east of Bystřice nad Perštejnem and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Ujčov is located on the right bank of Svratka in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. To the north rises the Ochoza ( Wechoza, 566 m), in the Northeast the Sokolí hora ( Zumberg, 625 m), east of the Čepičkův vrch ( 654 m) and in the west of Babylon (26 m).

Neighboring towns are Kozlov, Olešnička and Štěpánov nad Svratkou in the north, Lhotky and Horni Čepí in the east, Dolni Čepí and Bořinov to the southeast, and Kasany Nedvědice in the south, Kovářová the southwest, Liskovec in the west and Věchnov and Vrtezir in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Vícovek Maly took place in 1360. The place was probably since its inception to the possessions of the lords of Pernštejna. A coat of arms legend of Vaňha family, after the ancestors of the Köhler Vanek should have owned the place was refuted by more recent findings. To the south there was the track record since 1235 village Bořínov It belonged to the Augustinian monastery Doubravník, 1596 was created in its place a magnificent courtyard. Hillside Ochoza ( Ujčovský mramor ) has been broken since the Middle Ages marble, among other things, was used for the church in Doubravník. Since the beginning of the 16th century, the village is also detectable as an old possession of the Pernštejnové. 1775, the family acquired the manor Čuhl mill. The settlement Kassan / Kasany was founded in 1803.

After the abolition of patrimonial Ujčov formed in 1850 with the district Kasany a municipality in the district Nove Mesto. In the period 1924-1934 the marble quarry at the Ochoza was again taken up and degraded at the Burešer Seiter 1926-1934 serpentinite. In 1949 the community was the Okres Bystřice assigned nad Perštejnem. 1961 was the incorporation of Dolni Čepí ( with Horni Čepí ) Kovářová and Liskovec; at the same time, the classification of the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. Between 1980 and 1990 Ujčov was incorporated to Nedvědice. The district Ujčov today consists of 112 houses, where about 410 people live.
