UK Open

The PDC UK Open is a dart tournament the PDC ( Professional Darts Corporation). The tournament will be among fans as " FA Cup of Darts " because many outsiders get due to lack of seeding a chance to establish themselves in the tournament. It is also the only tournament in which a draw after each round. The winner receives since 2009 a premium of £ 40,000, the runner-up receives £ 20,000.

  • Phil Taylor already managed four times a perfect nine dart finish at the UK Open 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008
  • The Dutchman Raymond van Barneveld won the 2006 UK Open, and thus his first point of the tournament in the PDC. He hit the 13 - time World Champion and supposedly best players in the Dartgeschichte Phil Taylor 11-10 on the way to the final, where he defeated Barrie Bates 13-7.
