Ukrainian Footballer of the Year
The Player of the Year Award of the Soviet republic from 1969 to 1990 by the Ukrainian newspaper Molod Ukrainy. Since the political changes in the country honoring the year best is made by the sports newspaper Ukrainsky Football.
Record title holder is Oleh Blokhin; he has been awarded nine times (1972-1978, 1980, 1981). After the independence of Ukraine Andriy Shevchenko has won the title six times (1997, 1999-2001, 2004 and 2005 ).
Most often players were honored by the Capital club Dynamo Kiev.
