Ukrainian Village, Chicago

The Ukrainian Village is west of the center (Downtown) -city suburb of Chicago, which is bounded by the streets of Division Street to the north, Grand Avenue on the south, Western Avenue on the west and ladies Avenue to the east. It belongs to the district municipality of West Town and is under the administration of the 32nd Ward.

The Ukrainian Village had developed in recent decades to a safe residential area of the middle class. Despite socioeconomic changes in the south and west adjacent predominantly industrial districts, kept the Ukrainian residential development, also due to the strong positions of the Orthodox churches in the district, their character.
