The Uksitschan (Russian Уксичан ) is a massive shield volcano in Sredinny - ridge on the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia. Its height is 1692 meters, covers an area of 1850 square kilometers, with a total volume of about 300 cubic kilometers of one of the largest volcanoes of the Sredinny - ridge. The summit of the volcano is dominated by a caldera with a diameter of 12 kilometers, which is covered with several dacitic Lavadomen with a height of up to 900 meters. The oldest lava flows have a length of 15 to 20 km. The western and northwestern flanks of the volcano are exclusively formed by lava flows, the East and Southeast sides, however, are covered by pyroclastic material.
