Ulan County

The circle Ulan (乌兰 县; pinyin: Wulan Xiàn ) is a district of the Autonomous Prefecture of Haixi Mongol and Tibetan in the Chinese province of Qinghai. It has an area of 10,784 square kilometers and counts 39,000 inhabitants (2003 ).

It lies on the northeastern edge of the Qaidam Basin ( Chaidamu Pendi ) and is surrounded by high mountains.
