Ulf Bengtsson

Ulf Bengtsson ( born January 26, 1960) is a Swedish table tennis player. His best time he had in the 1980s when he became European Champion in singles and with the team.

Ulf Bengtsson is not related to the World Champion Stellan Bengtsson.

Youth

With six years of left-handed Bengtsson joined a club. 1977 and 1978 he won the Swedish Junior Championship. In Vichy, it was founded in 1977 together with Lars Franklin Youth European Champion in doubles.

Seniors

Bengtsson participated in three World Cups in 1983, 1985 and 1989. 1983 and 1985 he was runner-up with the Swedish team.

Three times he was represented at the European Championships. In 1984 he became European champion in singles before Andrzej Grubba, 1988, he won the title with the team. 1982 ( with Erik Lindh ) and 1984 ( with Ulf Carlsson ) which concluded in a double semi-finals.

German Bundesliga

In 1983 he moved from Söderhamns UIF for German Bundesliga club TTC Grenzau. After the 1983/84 season, which he completed with positive 19:15 games, he returned to Söderhamns UIF.

Coach

In the 1990s, Ulf Bengtsson was coach in Sweden.
