Ulf Mark Schneider

Ulf Mark Schneider ( born September 9, 1965 in Neuwied ) is a German manager and since May 28, 2003 Chairman of the Board of Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA.

Life

After high school studied and graduated Ulf M. Schneider in economics at the University of St. Gallen. He also holds an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from Harvard Business School. 1989 Schneider joined in the Duisburg conglomerate Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH. GmbH, where he worked in various management positions until 2001, most recently as Group Finance Director at the British pharmaceutical wholesaler and retailer Go UK plc. On 1 November 2001 Schneider joined the Management Board of Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. KGaA, the world's leading provider of dialysis products and services, where he was responsible for finance. Since 28 May 2003, he is the CEO of the parent company Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA. In his tenure, the company's revenue has nearly tripled the number of employees has more than doubled and the eightfold profit around. In addition, Fresenius took under his leadership, several large strategic acquisitions: In 2005, the acquisition of HELIOS Kliniken, one of the largest private hospital operators in Germany; 2006, the takeover of the U.S. dialysis provider Renal Care Group; In 2008, the takeover of the U.S. pharmaceutical company APP Pharmaceuticals; and 2011, the acquisition of Liberty Dialysis, another major dialysis provider in the United States.

In December 2012, the "Handelsblatt " Schneider has named "Manager of the Year 2012" and in November 2013, the " manager magazin " to the " Manager of the year 2013 ".

Private

Schneider is Chairman of the European Advisory Board of the Harvard Business School. He has an American and a German passport. As hobbies cycling and jogging are called.
