Ulf Sandström (ice hockey)

Ulf Sandström Hendry ( born April 24, 1967 in Stockholm ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player.

Career

Ulf Sandström began his career as a hockey player with MODO Hockey, for the first team, he was from 1986 to 1990 in the Elitserien, the highest Swedish league, active. Then the winger spent two years in the league rivals Luleå HF. From 1993 to 1996 he stood for the soil IK in the Division 1 second-class on the ice. For the 1996/97 season he joined the Finnish SM- liiga in which he first played for KalPa Kuopio and then Tappara Tampere. In the 1997/98 season he joined for the soil IK in Division 1, before he ended his career at the age of 31 years.

Internationally

For Sweden, Sandström took part in the junior level at the U18 European Junior Championships in 1985 and the U20 World Youth Championship in 1987. In the U18 European Championship in 1985, he won with his team the gold at the 1987 U20 World Championships bronze medal. In the senior level, he stood in the squad of his country at the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988, where he won the bronze medal with Sweden.
