Ulnar artery

The ulnar artery ( ulnar arteries ) is one of the two main arteries that supply the arm with blood. It is based on the eponymous ulna forearm bones (ulna ) named whose direction she follows, where it is on the front of the forearm under the flexor carpi ulnaris. It thus forms together with the saphenous nerve and the ulnar nerve, the ulnar neurovascular road. Finally, it forms the superficial palmar arch.

The ulnar artery is below the elbow ulnar recurrent artery from the back to the rete articular cubital vein (vascular network around the elbow ) is running, a little further down the artery interosseous artery.

With the Allen test vessel changes in the ulnar artery and resulting circulatory disorders can be detected.
