Ulugbek Alimov

Ulugbek Alimov (born 6 April 1989) is an Uzbek weightlifters. He won a bronze medal in the two- middleweight bout at the World Championship 2013.

Career

Ulugbek Alimov is a student at the State. Sport University in Tashkent. Since 2011 he starts with good successes at international championships.

His first participation in such championship was at the 2011 Universiade in Shenzhen / China. He arrived there in the middleweight division in a duel to 314 kg ( 137-177 ), reaching the 8th place. In 2012 he started in Pyoentaek / South Korea at the Asian Cup and won there with a duel capacity of 335 kg ( 145-190 ) the title.

In June 2013 he again took part in the Asia Cup, which was held in Astana. Although it increased its power to 340 kg ( 150-190 ), but still only came to 5th place, because four other athletes managed even more. In July 2013 he won at the Universiade in Kazan 351 kg ( 154-197 ) behind Rasul Taghian, Iran, 355 kg ( 157-198 ) the silver medal. At the World Championships in October 2013, he increased his power again. He reached there in the middleweight division in a duel 355 kg ( 158-197 ) and won with this performance hzinter Lu Xiaojun, China, to 380 kg ( 176-204 ) and Kim Kwang -Sun, North Korea, 359 kg ( 163-196 ), the World Cup bronze medal in the duel and with his performance in pushing a World Championship silver medal.
