Umar Kayam

Umar Kayam ( born April 30, 1932 in Ngawi, East Java, † 16 March 2002 in Jakarta ) was an Indonesian writer.

Kayam doctorate in the U.S. and was a professor in Yogyakarta. He is the author of a series of short stories. He became famous for his 1992 novel, published in Para priyayi, which appeared under the title " A Touch of Power" in Germany.
