Uncial 073

Uncial 073 ( in the numbering of Gregory -Aland, von Soden ε 7) and is a Greek uncial 084 Unzialhandschrift the New Testament. Using palaeography, it has been dated to the 6th century. The manuscript is not complete.

Description

To date, only one sheet (28 × 23 cm) survived. From the same manuscript was also uncial 084 (one page, ε von Soden 24). It was described columns with 34 lines per page.

The letters large and tilted to the right. It contains alcohol and accents.

The manuscript contains 073 parts of Matthew's Gospel ( 14:28-31 ), the Code contains 084 Matthew 14:19-27; 15:2-8.

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Alexandrian text-type with some strange readings. Aland placed it in Category II.

The manuscript was found by Rendel Harris, examined and collated. Code 073 is now on the ( Sinai Harris 7) Sinai Peninsula, whereas Code 084 in the Russian National Library ( Gr. 277, 1f) is preserved in St Petersburg.
