Underseal

The underbody protection is the preservation of the underbody of a motor vehicle against rust attacks and rockfall ( property damage ). Underbody protection is sprayed, rare deleted. It now consists of a mixture of PVC-based polymeric powder, a softening agent, additives, and fillers. Factory- applied underbody protection is again cured by heating. For the Heimwerkermarkt awake based underbody protection is available. However, certain varieties of underbody protection can not be painted with conventional paints, most modern on wax or oil-based. The use of bitumen no longer takes place because of the flammability hazard when cars. However, in the home improvement and restoration area bitumen is still quite use as a cheap alternative to the higher-quality waxes and fats.

The sub- Bode protection is applied in the so-called airless process, which allows a relatively high application speed and large spray width. It applies the resulting overspray ( spray ) by, for example adjustment of the distance of the subfloor to the application system to minimize possible. The application thickness is dependent on the application rate and the choice of nozzle.

The underbody protection is often combined with the seam sealer. By application heads with several nozzles which are mounted at different angles, even geometrically complex job images can be realized.
