Uniejów

Uniejow [ uɲɛjuf ] ( Uniejow, 1943-1945 Brück Städt ) is a town in Poland in Lodz Province. It has about 2,900 inhabitants. Uniejow located on the banks of the Warta and received city rights in 1285.

History

The first written mention of the village dates from the year 1136., He received a town charter 1290th 1331 the town was destroyed by soldiers of the Teutonic Order. 1870 lost the place its city charter, but received it again in 1919.
