Unified Theory (band)

Unified Theory was an American band. The alternative rock group existed between 1998 and 2001.

History

After the death of Blind Melon singer Shannon Hoon, the band broke up. Bassist Brad Smith and guitarist Christopher Thorn of the band decided to go ahead and set up with drummer Dave Krusen and singer Chris Shinn 1998, a new group, initially called Luma. Under this name the band released in 1999 their first tracks on the band's homepage. When, towards the end of the year, the band was taken from the Universal subsidiary 3:33 under contract, they took the name Unified Theory. Under this title was published in August 2000, the debut album, then the band toured until March 2001.

After the work came to a halt in the successor to Krusen decided to leave the band. Subsequently, Smith and Thorn joined together with the other former band members of Blind Melon and revived the band with Smith as a singer again.
