Union for the Republic (Burkina Faso)

The Union pour la République, UPR is a party from the West African nation of Burkina Faso.

Election results

In the parliamentary elections of 2007, the UPR reached five out of a total of 111 seats and is thus behind the CDP and the ADF - RDA the third strongest party in Burkina Faso.

History

The UPR was established on 20 July 2004 by a group of parliamentarians, members of smaller parties that had only one seat in parliament, and some dissidents from other parties, to life.
