Union of Belgian Composers
The Union of Belgian composer (Dutch Unie the Belgian composer, UBC; French Union of Composers Belges, UCB) is the professional association founded in 1960, Belgian composer. The organization is based in Brussels.
The purpose of the Composers' Union is to promote and safeguard the rights of Belgian composers and their works, both nationally and internationally. It is in close cooperation with the Belgian copyright society SABAM and Belgian music documentation center CeBeDeM.
Organizational structure
The members consisted mainly of composers of the Flemish- and French-speaking parts of Belgium. The Union of Belgian composer is by a college, consisting of twelve composers managed.
