United and Alternative Left

The United and Alternative Left ( katal.: Esquerra Unida i Alternativa, EUiA ) is a political party with 4000 members in the Catalan part of Spain. It is the Catalan equivalent of the United Left, with which it forms an electoral alliance. It was founded in 1998 as an alliance of PCC, PSUC viu, POR, PRT- IR, PASOC, CEA and CLI. The party chairman is Jordi Miralles.
