United Nations Security Council Resolution 1929

The Resolution 1929 of the UN Security Council a resolution adopted at its 6335th meeting on 9 June 2010, the United Nations Security Council. For the resolution voted twelve members of the panel, including all the permanent members. Two members of the Security Council, Brazil and Turkey voted against, Lebanon abstained.

The Security Council had since 2006 been imposed three times already sanctions against Iran because it does not meet its obligations under the Nuclear Non- Proliferation Treaty.

The Security Council decided that all Member States must cut off the supply, sale or transfer of battle tanks, armored vehicles, large caliber artillery systems, combat aircraft, attack helicopters, warships, missiles or missile systems to Iran. He also requested that all necessary measures be taken to the transfer of technology and technological assistance must be prevented in the context of ballistic missiles, nuclear warheads if it can carry. The Security Council also regulated accompanying measures, including Iran hindrance to the use of the international financial system, especially of banks that could be used to finance arms purchases and nuclear activities.
