United People Alliance

The Aliança Povo Unido (German: Allianz Vereintes people ) was an electoral alliance of the Portuguese Communist Party ( Partido Comunista Português [ PCP ] ) with the Portuguese Democratic Movement ( Movimento Democrático Português - Comissão Democrática Eleitoral [ MDP / CDE] ).

The Aliança Povo Unido ( APU) was founded in 1978. In 1983 it joined the Portuguese founded a year earlier Green Party ( Partido Ecologista Os Verdes ). In 1987, the APU disbanded. The electoral alliance joined the parliamentary election of that year already no longer together.
