Universidad Francisco Marroquín

The San Francisco Marroquín University ( Spanish: Universidad Francisco Marroquín, engl. Francisco Marroquín University) is a private university, headquartered in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

History

The University was founded in 1971 by entrepreneur Manuel Ayau. It arose from the economic research institute Centro de Estudios Economico - Sociales. The University is named after the first bishop of Guatemala, Francisco Marroquín, named, of the popular education in Guatemala made ​​in the 16th century earned and had then laid the foundations for state Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala.
