The University of Botswana ( German: called University of Botswana, also UB ) is a public university in Botswana. In addition to two locations in the capital, Gaborone include a campus in Francistown, and another in Maun to the university. Founded in 1982, are 2013/2014 enrolled 18,717 students at the UB and employs 2,794 staff.
History
Forerunner of the UB was established in 1964, the University of Basutoland, Bechuanaland Protectorate and Swaziland in Roma in Lesotho today. It was renamed in 1966 in University of Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland ( UBLS ). Later, more and more courses were relocated to Botswana until 1982, the university was founded by Botswana.
