University of Illinois at Springfield

The University of Illinois at Springfield ( UIS also called ) is a public liberal arts university in Springfield, the capital of the U.S. state of Illinois. Currently, this study 4855 students.

History

The college was founded in 1969 as Sangamon State University. Since 1995 she is part of the University of Illinois.

Sports

The sports teams of the UIS are the Prairie Stars. She is a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
