University of L'Aquila

The University of L' Aquila (Italian Università degli studi dell'Aquila ) is a university in the Italian city of L' Aquila, capital of the Abruzzo region.

1458 and 1464 asked the city fathers King Ferdinand II to be able to build a university in L' Aquila, which was opened only in 1596, however, under Jesuit leadership. In the earthquake of L' Aquila in 2009, the university was greatly affected.

The University now has over 21,000 students, spread across nine faculties:
