University of Nantes

The University of Nantes (French: Université de Nantes) was founded after excitation of Duke Francis II of Brittany on April 4, 1460 by Papal Bull of Pope Pius II in the French city of Nantes and now has around 36,000 students and 2,400 academic staff.

Construction

The University of Nantes is divided today into seven teaching and research units ( UFR ), Institutes and Schools. President ( = Rector ) of the University is Prof. François Resche.
