University of Saint Mary of the Lake

The University of Saint Mary of the Lake, also known as Mundelein Seminary, is a private university in Mundelein in the Chicago metropolitan area, United States.

The university has its beginnings in 1844, founded the Saint Mary's College, which was renamed in 1866 in University of St. Mary of the Lake. 1922 was founded by Cardinal George Mundelein, Archbishop of Archdiocese of Chicago, Mundelein Seminary as the Catholic seminary and is now Seminary and Theological College for the Archdiocese of Chicago.
