The Technical University of Troyes (French Université de technologie de Troyes, abbreviated UTT ) in the northern French city of Troyes is one of only three technical universities in France.

History

The Technical University of Troyes was founded in 1994 after the model of the American University of Pennsylvania. Like the other two technical universities in Compiègene and Belfort -Montbéliard University of Technology of Troyes is a mix between an engineering school and a conventional university.

In the academic year 2004/ 05 the college had about 2,000 students.

Study

Studying at the TU Troyes is divided into a common for all two-year foundation course (so-called " integrated preparatory classes " ) and an adjoining three -year-old graduate with more choices. Half of the students, however, have completed their undergraduate studies in a preparatory class or another university, and only come to the main study at the University of Troyes. After undergraduate studies at one of the three technical universities you have the opportunity to continue his studies also in one of the other two without entrance examination. The main study in Troyes closes with an engineering degree in fields of study offered by four different, namely industrial systems, information systems and telecommunications, mechanics and materials science with economy.

In addition to the engineering degree from the University, a master's degree can be acquired state.
