Upper Senegal and Niger
Upper Senegal and Niger was a colony within French West Africa that existed from 1904 to 1920. They had emerged from the colony of Senegambia and Niger. 1911 Niger became a separate military district, Upper Volta (now Burkina Faso) in 1919 a separate colony and the rest of the territory in 1920 to French Sudan, now Mali.
Capital of Upper Senegal and Niger was Bamako.
