Urban Community of Arras

The Communauté urbaine d' Arras is a French association of municipalities ( Communauté urbaine ) in the Pas -de- Calais and the Nord-Pas -de- Calais region. It was created on 1 January 1998.

History

The Communauté urbaine d' Arras arose from the District urbain d' Arras, founded in 1965. Since the foundation is prior to the adoption of the laws on the Communauté urbaines ( Loi CHEVENEMENT ), the Communauté is not subject to the minimum size of 500000 inhabitants contained in this Act.
