Urbana Township is one of twelve townships of Champaign County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in the year 2000 14.968 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Urbana Township is centrally located in the south of Champaign County in west-central Ohio and bordered clockwise to the townships: Salem Township, Union Township, Moorefield Township, Clark County, German Township ( Clark County), Mad River Township and Concord Township.

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk ( responsible for finance and budget), which is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
