Uroš I of Rascia

Uroš I was Serbian wholesale Župan from about 1118 to 1140.

After his father Vukan was defeated by Byzantium, Uroš was I with the support of Đorđe Vojisavljević king of Dioklitien, 1118 Župan of Raszien. He broke away from the Byzantine Empire, sought an alliance with Hungary, and renewed the influence Rasziens on Dioklitien and coastal countries.

With the Death of Đorđe Vojisavljević (about 1131 ) brought Uroš Dioklitien and coastal countries all under the rule of Raszien under which it remained until 1360. He was Serbian wholesale Župan. Uroš I. had two sons and a daughter. His eldest son Uroš II succeeded him as Serbian wholesale Župan, the younger son of Belus was Prince Regent of Hungary (see History of the Serbs of Vojvodina), his daughter Jelena was the wife of the Hungarian King Béla II
