Urs Vescoli

Urs Vescoli is a Swiss Skeleton driver who starts now for Australia and managed as national coach of Switzerland.

Urs Vescoli is one of the veterans of the Skeleton sport. In 1985 he took part in the European Championships in Winterberg, where she won behind Nico and Andy Schmid Baracchi the bronze medal. In the World Cup he was one of the first participant. In 1990 he won in Calgary its first and only World Cup races and finished second in the overall standings of the season behind Christian Auer ranks second. The 1990 years he repeatedly regained good rankings as a sixth place in the 1993's Skeleton World Championships in La Plagne or 1996 in Calgary, but he could apart from a runner-up title in Switzerland in 2002, not again place on the podium. For the season 2003/ 04 he changed nationality and now stepped up to for Australia. At the same time he was coach of Switzerland. He is still active today and finished at the Skeleton World Championships 2007 in St. Moritz the 26th place.
