Ushkan Islands

The Uschkanji Islands (Russian Ушканьи острова ) are a small group of islands that lie upstream in the middle of the Lake Baikal Svyatoi Nos Peninsula. The archipelago consists of four islands. In addition to the largest island Bolshoi Uschkanji are the three smaller Tonki Uschkanji, Krugly Uschkanji, and Dolgi Uschkanji. The group extends about 5 km from south to north and 3 km from east to west. At its highest point, the islands are located 211 m above the water level of Lake Baikal.

The islands belong to the Russian republic of Buryatia and are in Rajon Bargusin.

The extremely rocky Uschkanji Islands are dominated by larch trees and the Tageran - steppe.
